ADHD – It’s not just about kids!
While most people think of hyperactive little boys when they hear the term ADD or ADHD, studies indicate that over 5% of adults also struggle with the issues of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder – disorganization, impulsivity and distractibility. Have you ever wondered if ADHD was the cause of your disorganization, your impulsivity or your inability to focus?
Perhaps your child has recently been diagnosed and now you suspect that you too have ADHD. Perhaps you wonder about how you can help a friend or loved one who has recently been diagnosed. Perhaps you just would like to learn more about ADHD. If so, this presentation is for you.
In this presentation Alice will provide strategies and suggestions for dealing with and overcoming some of the problems such as disorganization, time management, paper management, maintaining focus, distractibility and impulsivity. Alice will offer insights into the issues surrounding ADHD not only from the perspective of the person with ADHD but also from the perspective of those around them.
Thomas Edison, who is believed to have had ADD, said:
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that didn’t work.”
You don’t fail until you stop trying!
